I am a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and a proud member of the Urban Native community of the Pacific Northwest region. My cousin taught me to bead as a kid and I have dabbled over the years, but it wasn’t until recently that I began exploring beadwork more fully as an extension of my creative practice. I find the same interest in patterns and systems that drives my paintings can be investigated in a new way with beads, and I’m enjoying making works that can be worn and lived with in a more intimate way. I started making these wrapped-stitch style necklaces and tassel earrings because I could rarely find them in the kinds of minimal color combinations and patterns I wanted to wear, or at prices that were accessible to me. I hope I bring a contemporary design sense to my pieces that others will enjoy.
My jewelry is carried at TAM Store in Tacoma, and I accept custom orders through the contact form on this site or at firstname.lastname@example.org. Necklaces currently retail at $100, and earrings at $70.
